Drop a line, let's create...
Hi there!
In this amazing and busy world, thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me and my work.
I was born in Los Angeles, California. At age five, my mom took my brother and me to France, Italy, Switzerland, and Israel for three months. My dolls were all indigenous, native brown and black, dressed in handcrafted outfits, beaded with the history of their cultures.
I had a very full childhood, learning to navigate two worlds as I traveled between my mother’s and father’s homes. The concepts of dichotomy and polarity began to shape my exploration and is now a patterned strategy that serves me well professionally.
Allowing the integration of multi-disciplinary ideas and thinking, I became a lover of oneness, insight, wisdom, truth, process, compassion, and travel.
Throughout high school, I learned how to operate within a system, serve within it, and enjoy my community. I became Student Body President, learning how to accomplish tasks and goals while collaborating with a diverse group of people. I was also a Varsity athlete throughout my high school experience.
I attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where I fell in love with nature, learning, and the exchange of information. Observing the changing seasons and how they affected people fascinated me—and still does. I studied Sociology and Communication, earning a BA in Communication, though my true passion lies in Sociology, Regeneration, Anthroposophy, and Visual Communication. I once had aspirations of pursuing a Master’s degree in Climate and Sociology.
I also fell in love with photography. My camera became my constant companion, and I formed a deep relationship with my film Nikon60, contemplating the power of point of view.
By the time I was 22, I had traveled to over 30 countries. Unwilling to conform or slow down in my exploration of self and the world, I spent time in Maui, Lake Tahoe, New York, Thailand, Connecticut, the North Shore of Oahu, and San Diego. Along the way, I studied yoga, nutrition, quantum physics, lunar cycles, tides, weather patterns, gardening, and countless perspectives on life, liberty, politics, justice, economics, culture, and love. I also began teaching and counseling high school students at Salisbury School in Connecticut, spent 2 years in high school drug rehabilitation counseling in Waianae, Oahu, and worked as a community organizer, helping to improve experiences for various groups and individuals.
I earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, specializing in Visual Communication and Photography. I lived in Santa Barbara for five years before moving to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley for another five. During this time, I deepened my knowledge of art and its impact on society, and I became passionate about sustainability, permaculture, and organic health. My MFA helped me refine my visual perspective, which I now apply to my work in photography. I view the world through the lens of photographic analogies: perspective, point of view, exposure, focus, and so on.
I started a family on an organic farm just six miles from the pristine Gaviota Coast in California. There, I learned about health, patience, surrender, homeopathy, efficiency, empowerment, and discipline. I continue to strive to be the best woman, mother, friend, photographer, entrepreneur, and human I can be, supported by an incredible group of talented, innovative friends and colleagues.
I later moved to Silicon Valley for three years, where I was amazed by the organic nature of innovation and the profound influence the area has on business, technology, and the world. I honed my craft while exploring the business, technology, and venture capital ecosystems of the Bay Area. Being immersed in the vibrant international community of Silicon Valley gave me a deeper understanding of innovation, vision, focus, and capability of digital connection.
Drawing on all my experiences, I returned to Santa Barbara to focus on fostering wholeness within myself and guiding others in their creative processes, innovation, and change-making efforts. I developed a practice I like to call an aliveness practice and starting working with individuals, couples and groups, teaching these tools and practices.
I was published in a parenting book, and am almost finished writing my own full parenting book on a practice I have developed that supports whole person development.
Today, I am an creative agency owner supporting businesses in Southern California and Switzerland, using my medium (sight/vision/photography) to connect with truth, goodness, wholeness, and human connection. I create images, digital content libraries, media designs, advertising, web development, and visual content management for businesses. My unique, purposeful storytelling imagery highlights the essential elements of a business and its impact on the world.
I am also a designer and organizational change architect, specializing in concept development and process solution design. I work with organizations to promote connected human development, explaining the creative process and implement business systems focused on human value, boosting productivity, revenue, and overall personal and professional growth.
If you’ve made it this far, I thank you! I look forward to meeting you and discovering how my skills can best support your mission.
